Notice of B.C. Provincial Sales Tax (PST) Change
Residential Home Phone & Mascon by TELUS Digital Starter Packages
Effective October 1, 2026, the B.C. government is removing the PST exemption for Home Phone (Residential landline telephone services) and Mascon by TELUS Digital Starter Packages and will require a 7% provincial sales tax on these services, resulting in an increase to your monthly bill.
This update is a government requirement that applies to every telecommunications provider in the province. For further information, please refer to the B.C. Government’s website at www2.gov.bc.ca/pst.
