On Sunday, September 18th, CPAC, the cable-owned public affairs media company, unveiled a bold new look. Building on CPAC’s 24-year legacy, the fresh new look reflects CPAC’s innovative approach to making politics and public affairs more accessible to Canadians. The new slogan “For the Record” represents the balanced and unbiased coverage that people have come to know and expect of CPAC.

CPAC
“CPAC is unique and different. Our mission is to foster democracy by offering a direct and unfiltered access to our democracy in action,” says Catherine Cano, President of CPAC. “We are proud of providing extensive coverage on issues so Canadians can make up their own mind about what matters to them. In this era of information overload, CPAC is a reliable source that people can trust.”

CPAC also presents over 30 hours of original programming each week in English and in French. The new season brings a brand new weekly international affairs program hosted by veteran journalist Alison Smith debuting November 20th. “The role of Canada in the world and the impact of international issues on Canada are important. It is part of our mission to explain and offer a better understanding of those issues to Canadians”, said Peter Van Dusen, Executive Producer and Head of Editorial.

Some of the highlights of the upcoming season include:

  • The return of the flagship political show Prime Time Politics with a special seven-part series The Letters. Coinciding with the first anniversary of the Trudeau government, the series reviews the Prime Minister’s instructions to Cabinet and the challenges of meeting the objectives;
  • The original documentary Transgender Journey: The Struggle for Rights and Respect, the personal stories of transgender Canadians as they fight for equality
  • Inside The Supreme Court of Canada, a documentary looking at the history and evolution of the Supreme Court made possible through unprecedented access to the court and all of the justices who speak candidly about their roles and the way they make decisions;
  • A new original daily podcast CPAC Today in Politics hosted by Mark Sutcliffe, débuting on October 3.

CPAC is also growing its digital and social media offerings and will be the destination to get all the information you need to know on hot button issues such as electoral reform, healthcare, pipelines, Senate reform, marijuana, climate change and more.

Watch as we begin rolling out our new look and join us this fall for an exciting new season on TV, online or on your mobile devices.
